Transitioning to Mixed-Billing

For 25 years, we have provided quality, fully bulk-billed medical care to the local community. The costs of running an accredited medical practice, such as ours, continue to rise, and Medicare rebates have not kept pace. We have had to make the difficult decision that offering fully bulk-billed service is no longer viable.

Therefore, Redland Bay Surgery will become a mixed-billing general practice from the 1st of July 2021.

What will this mean for you?

• You may have some out-of-pocket costs associated with your GP attendances/services. Ask reception staff for more information.

• Children under the age of 16 years and eligible concession cardholders will continue to be bulk-billed.

• We will be able to process your refund through Medicare at the time of your visit.
