Prescriptions, Referrals & Medical Certificates
An appointment is required to obtain a prescription, referral or medical certificate.
Prescriptions
Doctors may not be able to provide a prescription over the phone if there has been no recent in-person consultation within the last 3 months. This policy is in place to uphold the doctors' responsibility of ensuring appropriate prescribing practices, which may necessitate a physical examination. If you anticipate that an examination will be necessary, we kindly request that you schedule an appointment for a face-to-face consultation.
Prescriptions requested via phone will be transmitted as e-scripts to your mobile phone or available for collection at reception. We are unable to email, fax or post scripts.
Referrals and Medical Certificates
Upon request, we can send copies of the latest referrals and certificates. However, please note that we do not offer a mailing service for these documents.
For phone consultations we are able to fax or email referrals with your consent.
If your referral has expired, an appointment with your GP will be required.
